    “Prayer for the Traveler
O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve those who travel, in particular the migrant; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey’s end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

I’m praying for your safe journey…

    Ryan,

As for riding that route through TX, you might need to reconsider your route after Austin, TX. East of Austin, TX is when you begin to recieve the true flavor of the south, especially in those woods.

You should also consider riding north toward the panhandle to cut off time and mileage. It will take a long time to ride through Texas the way you are going. It will not be that much different in weather if you go further north to the panhandle. If anything, you will avoid the rain and wet cold generated out of the gulf. It is drier if you go north, and not as harsh.

Take or leave my suggestions. Regardless of my “personal” criticism and the leveling of defensive moods from your supporters, I feel like you are making a major mistake in taking this route through Texas and the south. People act on their beliefs in this part of the country without warning and you need to be smart about where you will be.

If you are still taking this route, let me know. I can at least call a friend or my mom (in Huntsville) to check on you. I happen to have family from New Mexico to Louisiana.

    Hi Ryan,

I think my Aunt that lives in Atlana (Tezona) has sent you an email. If for some reason you didn’t recieve it, let me know and I will make sure you link up with her. Okay so I really didn’t understand your maps, but if you’re going through Dallas I am trying to get in contact with my cousin that lives there. I will keep you updated. I am sure if I can get a hold of him he wouldn’t mind letting you crash with him :)

I hope your travels have treated you well thus far and I hope your knee is doing better. I know tendonitis can be brutal, I have had the same pains. I have learned it is mind over matter. I have confidence you will get through all the obstacles that are put it your path and will be triumphant. :) Continue to stay focused and keep your eye on the prize.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

    Warm Wishes,
    Staci

If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

    Hey Ryan!
Hope your knee is doing better! Power to you on doing this it is amazing!!! I agree with the going thru North Texas. You have to watch out further down south because like Donald said, you will get a real taste of the south. But best of luck!
