Great news! The gallery of Ryan’s adventures is now open. You can check it out here: http://www.bikingforobama.com/gallery/. The gallery will be updated on a weekly and sometimes daily basis so check back often. I just got done talking to Ryan about an hour ago. He has some great ideas for this blog so stay tuned for the latest features coming soon. Currently he’s in Texas heading to Ozona where he’ll be spending the night at a contributor’s house. He did have some trouble with his bike. Apparently one of the spokes broke so he spent about an hour fixing it. But otherwise everything seems to be just fine.
According Mr. Mitchell, Ryan’s Rep, Ryan is averaging 68-75 miles a day. The Los Angeles times also met up with Ryan back in New Mexico and there should be an article on him coming out soon so make sure you get a copy of the Times when it comes out! Ryan still needs some contributions or housing for the remainder of the journey. So if you can help or know someone who can, please get in touch.

The gallery has an auspicious beginning. There are some real gems among them. This is a visual chronicle of your ride so far. It was good to see you prepped for the cold weather.
May you meet many 6 percent grades (downward of course)!

Hi Ryan! We just talked earlier today after you passed through Del Rio, TX.
Just thought I’d try to leave you a message here too. Like I said, you’re welcome to stay here when you’re in DC – I live in Alexandria, VA – about 16 miles from DC – but right near a bike path that goes into DC. In fact, as you’re coming up from FL, and get near the Mt. Vernon estate, I live a mile from there. I’ll keep my eye on your blog and see how it goes for ya on your trip.
Drop me a line anytime! Hope your trip goes well – be safe and enjoy!!
