281 miles in 2 days!

So the last two days have been a real test of my own abilities.  Yesterday with support drafting off of Eric Brewer of Orlando, I destroyed my previous day’s record of 120 miles by riding a total of 151.2 miles!!! So in two days we have ridden from Pensacola to Madison FL

drafting behind this guy is a breeze

The next two days will be shorter rides, as today I will ride roughly 60 miles to Lake City, FL to meet with the mayor and newspaper in town.  Tuesday will also be an exciting day. I am riding to Gainesville (out of my way but worth it) to the University of Florida (GO Gators!) to meet up with fellow riders on campus as well as speak with students about the trip and their thoughts on the election.

151 miles: Proof

    Hey Bowie,
So proud of what your doing, you should really take the opportunity to speak to all these outlets about issues going in our world today. Its not enough to elect a black president but to really push him to strive for real change. Look at whats going in Gaza today and Obama’s reffusal to take a stance..what type of change is that? Anywho hope you are well miss you! wishing you the best and a happy new year!

First and formost,I would like to take this time to apologize for Eric, I’m one of his riding buddies so I feel your pain. Just joking, the dude has no speed limits and if breaking you original mile limit was something you wanted to do, he’s the man for the job! This is a great thing your doing, it takes heart, real heart, not what some of these millionaire atheletes call heart cause they couldn’t do it. When Obama gets wind of this they should have you front and center when he’s sworn in. Keep your eye on the prize and your faith in god and you’ll be just fine. And to the person who made the comment about Obama and Gaza, your president is still Bush so back up off Obama!! Holla!

    Ryan,

There are millions of people inspired by our upcoming president Obama. Many of those people have done some crazy things but you by far are the craziest! Not many people go through with their goals but you however are on your way to accomplishing your goal! Keep up the great ride and keep pedaling till you meet your goal! And never give up. God bless.

    P.S
    Eric,
Congratulations on supporting Ryan! I’ll see you at practice on Wednesday!

    Ryan,
Way to keep trekking! Even after being hit by a jeep, you’re on the road again, breaking records and staying focused. Thats a true example of perserverance and being an inspiration to others that *can* bring Change. Look at how you’ve already affected and touched the lives of those you have met. I also know Eric Brewer, for 20 years actually! He started me in my cycling. He also has a “Beast Mode” as you say, when he’s on his bike. He’s been an inspiration to many, as you have. What a great team for 2 days. Stay safe and may the Lord continue to Bless!

    Ryan,
The Lord has blessed you dearly and he has sent you a great man (Eric) into your life. I can not think of one person that I would rather have my back than him. He is a starter and a finisher. These type of men and people in general are hard to come by. May the Lord continue to bless you as you continue your journey. This is a wonderful journey that you are on.
