AND WHY NOT DO CRITICAL-MASS RIDES ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY TOO ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

Also, I was thinking, the right wing’s got “Joe the Plumber” on the ground in Gaza, so what’s so bad about being “Ryan the Biker” in DC?

Ryan, U DA MAN! Wished I was there to ride with you, but as I live in South Florida, it is not happening. Read about your cross-country adventure, and I have to say that I am very happy for you that you have accomplished this feat. I started riding three years ago (bought a $69.00 Wal-Mart special and rode it to Key West (180 miles in three days) because my doctor told me that if I did not start exercising pronto, that all that smoking would cause me to have a heart attack. Well, on January 27, 2007, while riding with my group, the South Florida Wheelers, it happened anyway, and I am now the proud owner of two stents. I got back on the saddle, riding at first with the beginners, and then with the intermediates, then with the experienced group, and for the last few weeks, finally, with the Advanced group. Also completed my first century on December the 27th, 2008. It has been a long road back.

I live in Cooper City, Florida, East of Ft. Lauderdale. If you are ever in the neighborhood, come riding with us. It would be a pleasure to have you, and if you need a place to stay, mi casa es su casa, and we even have a washing machine, heck, we’ll even feed you.

It looks like the ABC documentary on Ryan’s ride will be airing sometime between 10 and 11:35 Eastern time tomorrow night, according to this website: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/President44/Story?id=6655200&page=3

“10 p.m. ET: Gibson, Sawyer and Stephanopoulos anchor the ABC News Special “A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama.” This news program will take the audience live to inaugural balls and track the president and first lady as they continue their celebration throughout Washington. Also, a team of ABC News correspondents will report on the special significance the day holds for millions of African-Americans; the amazing lengths many Americans are going to just to be in Washington for the inauguration; and world reaction to Obama’s promised effort to unite the nation.”

    Ryan,
is there anyway you could send me the exact route you took for the trip? Some friends and I thought about biking over summer vacation and thought this would be so worth while.

I’d be more than happy to pay for the map.
    Edward
