First off, I would have never been able to leave Los Angeles without the knowledge that others would find my story and see it as a noble cause worthy of supporting. I have since been making this trip happen on a shoestring budget, managing the funds I do have in the most efficient means possible.  This means sleeping in tents in city parks instead of hotels, eating at buffets every chance I get, etc.  While I have managed thus far, I will still need to secure more funds to reach Washington DC.  As this effort has grown, I foresee the need to support other riders that join me as well.

A percentage of donations will also go to support Play For Hope. Play for Hope was created to bring hope and joy to the devastation and aftermath of the Rwandan genocide.  We are a dynamic partnership of Rwandans and Americans committed to creating sustainable sports development for the youth of Rwanda through sports camps, tournaments, and leadership training.  Many of these children have lost parents to genocide and AIDS and desperately need a message of hope and reconciliation.
